Free Shoes for Crews shoes (for a few of you anyhow) -

As I mentioned in yesterday's post I have been given the opportunity to give away 5 pair shoes from Shoes for Crews.  I don't know that I should be trusted with this sort of power.  It's not quite the One Ring of Power, but I feel kingly nonetheless.

Here's how you win:

1)  Comment below in general terms where you work (you're welcome to be specific, but if you want more privacy just say "oil rig in the North Sea" or something along those lines).

2)  Email me at rlserver@gmail.com why you should get a pair of new shoes.  Keep it under 100 words.  Bonus entries for creativity.  I might share the best responses and will anonymize any personal info unless you ask that it all be kept private.  (is anonymize a word?  If not, you heard it here first...)  You MUST email me, or you won't be entered.  I won't give your email away, nor will I use it for ANYTHING beyond this contest.

3)  Share this with your friends and co-workers and with anyone you think would benefit from Shoes for Crews shoes.  When they email me have them put your name or email address in the message and I'll give you TWO bonus entries and they get an extra entry.  So if you get two friends to join in, you'll actually have 5 entries to win.  Seriously.  Limit 1 free pair of shoes per person though if you win.

Print this out, take it to work, hand it out.  If nothing else people will get to enjoy my blog, and if they win shoes because of you they'll likely owe you a beer.  You can make that a rule where you work if you want to.  I would.  But then again, I'd buy a beer for someone who got me free shoes no matter what, but I digress.

I'll leave the contest open for 1 week and will then put everyone into a spreadsheet who A) commented and B) emailed, will then use an online random number generator, and will email you with the details if you won.

If I find you to be trying to cheat the system, I will A) not let you win and B) pray every night that you get tables who ask for nothing but water with lemon (or the industry equivalent) and leave bad tips for the rest of the year.  You don't want that bad juju. <-- Both definitions are in play.

Straight up - Free Shoes.  Beats a kick in the shin.

(I reserve the right to tweak the above process if it turns out I stupidly forgot a step or screwed something up.  I really shouldn't be trusted with this sort of power!)

A family member mentioned you're giving away shoes. Free shoes is free shoes, even if I don't need them or work in a restaurant. I might even keep reading your blog if I win free shoes. Might.
